Bedford Parish Choir started life during Easter 1995 as a small singing group in an effort to increase the variety of hymns used in Parish Worship. Under the direction of Anthony Bogdan, Parish Organist in 1997 the singing group evolved into a choir as voices blended and more challenging music was sung. In 1998 the choir robes were re-introduced after an absence of almost eleven years.

The choir has a wide repertoire featuring composers such as Elgar, Mozart, Thiman and Darke and styles of music range from Book of Common Prayer Psalms to modern Tazie chants.  Latin text also plays an important part in our liturgy and repertoire.

On June 8th 2002 the choir made its first CD. The session started at 11.00am and continued until 4.00pm. Details.

On 18th August 2002 the choir sang evensong in St Asaph Cathedral.

Anthony Bogdan and the Choir acknowledge with thanks the help we receive from Neil M Holland of Leigh Parish Church.
